Welcome to BoBo Feed

BoBo is a French expression, short for Bourgeois Bohème, and it pretty much describes who we are.

Bobo Feed will be sharing things that inspire us or please us-
from the worlds of architecture & design, fashion & styling, food and drink, travel, urban living, whatever...

We hope you enjoy.

saturday sounds...So long to Hal

Hats off to you if you're either old enough or engaged enough to know who Hal David is. Half of the songwriting duo of Bacharach and David (who dominated the more adult end of popular music in the 60's), David passed away last weekend at the age of 91.

If you're like us, it was Burt Bacharach's melodies that first hooked you, but inevitably after a few listens there was a subtle awakening to the humour and irony of the words being sung, and you would smile to yourself. That was Hal David tickling your intellect.

Here are a couple of our favourites. You probaly already know most of Hal's words by heart:

This is a nice little piece from The Independent talking about his prowess at delivering a short story within a song.

And here's an obituary from The Guardian that outlines the remarkable life of this talented man.

So long, Hal! Thanks for all the happy memories!
