Escapism
It's probably safe to say that most of us here in Canada, many of our friends in the northeast of the US, and even those of you in northern Europe are struggling to survive these last days of the winter of 2013. Though it is now officially Spring, someone seems to have forgotten to remind Mother Nature.
Let's indulge in a little escapism then, shall we?

Here's a place we stumbled upon, located in lovely Portugal. Called Casas Na Areia, it is a luxuriously rustic compound that you and seven of your closest friends can have all to yourselves.

It's impossible to be any way other than barefoot in these living spaces, and being forced to live barefoot is surely one of the most hedonistic pleasures we can imaging in late March!
Do check out the website, which has more alluring pictures and a sweet little video to further entice. Oh, and don't bother looking into the rates- we're practicing escapism, after all!

Tumblr Tuesday
The snow is leaving, and it's exposing the earthy tones
of early spring. We were feeling inspired.
Of course, lots caught our eyes throughout the day,
but by evening we had mellowed into a woodsey groove.

Looking Up...Take Out
Another structural take- out complete. Bee used to work in the brick building to the right. The vacant lot was once home to a fine little greasy spoon which was exceptionally convenient for lunch. The old building rose once from the ashes of a suspicious fire only to succumb finally to condo madness.
