Welcome to BoBo Feed

BoBo is a French expression, short for Bourgeois Bohème, and it pretty much describes who we are.

Bobo Feed will be sharing things that inspire us or please us-
from the worlds of architecture & design, fashion & styling, food and drink, travel, urban living, whatever...

We hope you enjoy.

The Local Food Bounty of Ontario

One of the pleasures of summer in our home territory is being able to gorge on the local food bounty of Ontario. As frustrating as it can be to be a consumer of local produce throughout the winter months, it is the opposite come the warm weather, especially now, late in the summer.

An early July visit to friends who live an hour north of the city let us catch a glimpse of Mother Nature hard at work. The leafy vegetables were in full spleandour, and the squash varieties were just coming on stream.*******
Now, a month later, the summer vegetables and the tender fruits are pouring into the markets.

How can one possibly take advantage of these riches? The eye feasts and commands that you buy some of each, but it is not humanly possible for two people to eat their way through all that they want to sample!

Yet we succumb, vowing to give it our best shot, to let none of the precious offerings go to waste.
Maybe it's time to consider, yet again, the art of "putting up" a few jars so that we might unleash the warmth of August next January!
We urge our local readers to be
proud consumers of Foodland Ontario!
