Some of you may remember when this little gem sat at the northwest corner of University Avenue and College Street. We think its relocation to Allan Gardens and integration with the existing glass house conservatory in the park was beautifully done. The structure is quite magical in the snow, and of course its delight is magnified tenfold when you enter the tropical lushness from the cold outdoors!

Hello! For some reason, your comment on my Budapest Christmas Markets post won't show up on Disqus. Frustrating sometimes! But I wanted to reply anyhow. Wow, is Bee part Icelandic? That is so cool! (As it is so rare!) I will post up more photos of my travels soon. Am in the midst of all of it right now so don't have much laptop time with me! Hugs from the French Alps, Milsters
ReplyDeleteMilsters,
ReplyDeleteif you make it to Winnipeg on your cross-country jaunt check into the Icelandic connection in Manitoba. From what we understand it's the largest cluster of the Icelandic diaspora (which, of course, is pretty small overall!) Bee's paternal grandparents were Icelandic, and maternal were Scottish. It's a fairly common mix out there!
